Pamper Party

Pamper Parties Beauty Parties Hen Nights

If you are in need of a rejuvenating treat and can't afford a visit to a health spa, or you're just looking for a fun filled girls night in, then why not organize your very own Pamper Party?

Who are they for?

Pamper parties are the ideal way to relax and have fun with a bunch of girlfriends – whether you are eight or eighty! They are also the perfect prelude to bigger celebrations, such as a hen night, wedding, twenty first birthday, or other, big significant event where everyone wants to look their best!

Forget shelling out hundreds on weekends away at celeb style retreats – you can easily turn your own home into a blissful spa for next to nothing!

Who to invite?

This type of party thrives on trust and encourages bonding – so pick your guests carefully! A group of girls who bicker, don't want to remove their make up and delight in trading catty remarks are not going to be conducive to a stress-busting, beautifying evening!

Setting the Scene

Prepare your chill-out room (which could be your living room, conservatory, or bedroom) with lots of gorgeous scented candles to create a restful atmosphere and soft, mellow lighting. Float tea lights in bowls of water, and burn essential oils in an appropriate burner to clarify and fragrance the air.

Sourcing Supplies!

Ask your guests to bring a selection of their favourite beauty products with them; think along the lines of sachets of face masks, hot oils and treatments for the hair, manicure and pedicure products.

The Professionals

If finances permit, you could book a mobile beautician to carry out treatments at your party. Many practitioners offer a huge range of services, from fake tan application to acrylic nails. You can also hire permanent make-up artists and Botox and filler practitioners but always check, check and check again with regards to their credentials, and satisfy yourself fully as to their qualifications and competency before committing yourself!

Far cheaper – and lots more fun – is to find out which of your friends have a talent for make up artistry, or massage or manicure and pedicure skills. Your guests can then take it in turns to give and receive treatments.

Child's Play

For a pamper party for young girls, fill baskets and containers with fun beauty products like fake tattoos, stick on jewelery gem stones, and peel off nail varnish. You could even provide them with 'recipes' for home-made hair conditioners and face masks (but be aware of any allergies or food intolerance guests might have!)

Food

Provide your guests with a health-farm style buffet: bowls of nuts and dried fruits, freshly squeezed or pressed juices, exotic fruit platters and healthy(but interesting!) salads and soups.

Top Tips:

Remember that some treatments won't immediately leave you looking your best: face masks for example draw out impurities, so don't have your pamper party the night before a big event – wait a good few days!

Always do a skin patch test before trying new products!

Don't get carried away and attempt anything permanent or too ambitious – a relaxing pamper party is probably not the occasion to persuade your flaxen haired friend to dye her locks jet black!

Protect your home from stains, dyes and accidents – ask your guests to bring robes or lounge wear, and provide old (but clean!) towels for treatments – especially of the fake tan variety!
